In her newest chair, made of Lucite, one round piece folds up to create a comfortable seat; four pieces underneath look like wings. It is called the Butterfly because it is “delicate and ethereal,” she said. “Architecture taught me about the golden proportion,” she added, something that continues to be a big influence on her work. “Every wing is in proportion to the other and in proportion to the seat.”
